Where?

Ever gotten into an argument with someone and felt like your opposition is so very dense? Why can’t they just see the error of their ways? I mean, it is so clear that they are indeed in the wrong. I can blatantly see it. Why can’t they?

Oh, yeah… we’ve all been there. In the heat of it all, someone else’s sin magically becomes magnified and our own wrongdoing is forgotten. Step back. What if it is our own sin that is overtaking the situation and their offense is really just a speck of misconduct? Personal pride can blind us. Luke 6:41-42 shows us how to deal: "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother's eye.” (ESV).
